Only six teams remain as the racers leave the sweltering streets of India for the snowy, wintry climes of Austria, home of Freud, chimney sweeps and big-ass slices of chocolate cake.

The seven remaining teams slog through the crowded, noisy streets of India. One team take the wrong flight and has to come from behind, while another team succeeds in turning their fortunes around.

This episode is all about tea, because Snapple is a major sponsor, apparently. And one particularly brutal needle-in-a-haystack challenge brings one contestant to tears.

Nine teams conclude an extra-long leg in China, which includes a double U-turn and its predictably dramatic moments, as well as some big damn dinosaur bones.

The eight remaining teams cross the border from Sweden to Norway. One contestant pays a heavy price for a coveted Fast Forward, but otherwise, there's very little drama to be had
