10 More Episodes For 10 Things

To those of you who, like me, got hooked on 10 Things I Hate About You this summer, it seems we’ll be seeing more from the kids at Padua High next year. Word is, the series has been picked up for the back 10 episodes of the season 1.

E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos posted the news, stating that ABC Family confirmed to them that they’re giving 10 Things a full season. Anyone familiar with ABC Family’s programming knows that the network often breaks of the seasons and airs them in two parts. It appears that’ll be the case for 10 Things as season 1.5, which will consist of ten episodes will start airing in January 2010.

the first half of season 1 of 10 Things I Hate About You just finished airing this week. The series is a TV adaptation of a film, which was a modern take on Taming of the Shrew. The TV show has a similar plot, centering on two sisters, the older of which is outspoken and intentionally antisocial while the younger sister, Bianca, longs to be one of the popular girls at Padua high. According to E!, the second part of the first season will have some kind of political story arc for Bianca and her sometimes BFF Chastity. Meanwhile, we’ll also get to learn more about Patrick Verona (played by the dreamy Ethan Peck) and his back-story.
