Watch Ronda Rousey Admit She's Not Perfect In New Reebok Ad

Ronda Rousey takes quite a bit of heat these days. The MMA fighter-turned-actress has become a worldwide phenomenon, but her increased celebrity status and recent loss to Holly Holm have generated a number of critics who seek to tear her down. Plenty of people have taken it upon themselves to point out Rousey's imperfections, but a new commercial featuring the fighter shows her ready to admit her faults and face all challengers. Check out the undeniably badass video below to see for yourself.

Almost instantly it's fairly plain to see what this particular Reebok commercial is trying to emphasize. Ronda Rousey's monumental success has catapulted her into the spotlight and has surrounded her with all of the glitz and glamour that comes with such success. As she walks toward the camera, the color of the commercial darkens as she begins to shed her designer dress, take out her hair extensions, and generally take the form of the badass MMA fighter that we all recognize. A voiceover from Rousey follows her as she moves forwards explaining that perfect people never get tested or challenged in meaningful ways, and she never claimed any sort of perfection for herself.

The clip ends with Ronda Rousey training as the Reebok logo flashes onto the screen, accompanied by the phrase "Be more human." It's all an incredibly bold statement when we consider everything Rousey has gone through recently. Following her defeat at the hands of Holly Holm, Rousey herself even admitted that the shock of such a loss had her considering suicide when she reached her lowest point. This commercial shows an acute understanding of the criticisms Rousey has faced in recent months, and actively portrays her ready to take on all comers. She seems genuinely ready, willing, and able to get back into the ring in order take back her status as a mixed martial arts champion.

Despite the fact that the commercial seemingly expresses Ronda Rousey's intention to get back on top, it looks like it hasn't quite shut up her critics just yet. A cursory examination of the video's YouTube rating, as well as the comments section reveals that a number of people aren't quite ready to consider her story a comeback at this point. All that being said, Rousey herself has admitted on numerous occasions that she isn't a "do-nothing bitch," so we have complete faith in her ability to silence the critics when her time finally comes.

If you're a fan of Ronda Rousey, then this commercial should get you extremely excited about what the future might potentially have in store for her career. After spending some time away from the public eye she finally appears to have returned to her former glory, and looks fully prepared to step back into the ring with vengeance.
