The Two Characters Game Of Thrones Season 7 Is Probably Teaming Up
Warning: possible spoilers ahead for Game of Thrones Season 7.
Season 7 of Game of Thrones is still a ways off, and we have months before we'll get our first official look at what's to come next for the unfortunate folks of the Seven Kingdoms. Luckily, we're starting to get some interesting reports of what's in store for some of them. Euron Greyjoy will evidently have a lot going on in the next chapter of Thrones. One upcoming plot will likely see him join forces with Cersei.
Euron will reportedly team up with Cersei for the next round of the game of thrones. The duo actually have a lot in common: both ascended to the throne thanks to some seriously sketchy scheming, and both had to kill family members in order to do it. Who knows? Maybe they'll bond over the deaths of Balon and Kevan and it'll be the start of a beautiful friendship.
Cersei and Euron have something else in common as well. Neither the King of the Iron Islands nor the newly-crowned Queen of the Seven Kingdoms have a whole lot of allies. Cersei will be facing opposition from all directions if Season 7 picks up where Season 6 left off, and pretty much nobody likes the raiding ironborn. Yara was the most progressive Iron Islander, but she had to flee her home country when Euron won the Salt Throne. Unfortunately for Euron, Yara (and Theon) escaped to form an alliance with Daenerys Targaryen. Euron will be in need of a major ally if he wants to stay in the game, and Cersei is the natural choice now that Dany is no longer an option. It should be interesting to see if Euron's desire to marry Dany in the name of alliance will shift to Cersei.
The team-up won't be all that Euron gets up to in Season 7. Watchers on the Wall has reported that Euron will battle his niece and nephew at sea in addition to joining forces with Cersei. Yara and Theon ended Season 6 on a fairly high note; Yara made a deal with Dany that would guarantee her the title of Queen of the Iron Islands if they won, and Theon hadn't had any new body parts chopped off. If they face the legendary Euron at sea, their luck is likely to run out in a big way. Odds are good that Euron may actually capture one of the siblings.
The Sand Snakes may also suffer a big loss courtesy of Euron. He may in fact kill one of them at some point in Season 7, which could give Dorne even more motivation to strike at the rest of the Seven Kingdoms. The Sand Snakes were a formidable force of fighters whenever they appeared on screen in their first two seasons; it may take a very bloody battle for Euron to take one of them out.
