How To Watch The Walking Dead Season 7 Premiere Streaming
Tonight, The Walking Dead will finally make its Season 7 debut. By this point in the year, TWD fans are usually clamoring for new episodes, but anticipation is even higher this season thanks to the mondo cliffhanger that Season 6 ended on. Negan is going to kill at least one major character tonight, and in addition, we will likely be meeting some new characters, too. If you are a household that no longer has cable, there are a few key ways you can catch The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere--and some of them are even free.
First and foremost, if you aren't already a Sling TV user, the streaming service is offering fans the opportunity to sign up for a trial membership to Sling TV free this weekend. The trial membership includes access to the Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead. The really cool thing with this is that Sling doesn't even require a credit card for the preview, so there's no hassle at all in terms of giving it a shot. You can sign-up here. In addition, a report over at Cut Cable Today also indicates that AMC may make the first episode of the season available for free, although normally AMC's streaming site does require a login. Sometimes, apparently, Negan does make the world a better place.
If you are looking into watching The Walking Dead Season 7 beyond the premiere, you may have to think a little more long-term---which also unfortunately means you may need to shell out a little bit of money. If you'd like to actually subscribe to Sling, obviously the rest of the season will also be available for streaming. Episodes also show up on Amazon Instant Video a day after they air on AMC. Individual episodes usually cost around $3. Over at Amazon Instant Video, season passes for the entire season can also be purchased, although those are a little pricey, running at $42.99 for the whole season. It should also be noted that Prime users are still required to purchase these packages if they want to catch TWD that way.
Outside of Amazon, similar deals can be found for The Walking Dead episodes on iTunes or through Xbox or Google Play.
UK watchers of the series also have access to NOW TV. That service has an entertainment pass option that also costs. But with that pass you'll be able to watch the episodes live and On Demand after the episode airs.
The Walking Dead is one of the most popular shows on television, and because it is such a valuable property, AMC certainly wants to make as much money off of the episodes as it can. The good news is that there are some good ways to watch the Season 7 premiere. And if you don't mind waiting for the rest of the episodes, eventually they will be housed on Netflix as part of your monthly subscription. Usually the latest batch of episodes show up just a short time before the next set of episodes are expected to premiere, so Netflix should have Season 7 episodes just before Season 8 starts.
The Walking Dead will return tonight at 9 p.m. ET, only on AMC. To find out what we know about the upcoming episodes, check out our Season 7 guide.
