Flip Or Flop May Be Ending Soon, Here's What We Know

HGTV Flip Or Flop

Part of the appeal of reality TV is the fact that it showcases average people living out their lives while insane drama happens all around them. I'm not sure if it's life imitating art, or the other way around, but sometimes that drama bleeds into our own reality. One of the most recent shows to suffer through a serious behind the scenes controversy is HGTV's Flip or Flop -- which was shaken up by the split between hosts Tarek El Moussa and Christina El Moussa. Now new rumors have surfaced suggesting that the drama may soon lead to the end of the series.

A recent report from E News suggests that Flip or Flop may finally come to an end next year. The series is currently filming a number of episodes to air in 2017, but it's rumored that those episodes are simply a means to fulfill a contractual obligation to HGTV, and the series will call it quits once that has been accomplished. At this point it's worth noting that nothing has been confirmed, and these situations are always subject to change, but for now it looks like the end of Flip or Flop is imminent.

If these rumors are true, then it means that Flip or Flop will likely end its three-year run next year. The show has become quite popular for HGTV since its debut; the tumultuous relationship between its hosts seems to have caused too many problems -- despite initial reports that the El Moussa family had every intention of continuing the show and working through their differences.

The marital drama between Tarek El Moussa and Christina El Moussa of Flip or Flop honestly rivals anything that we have recently witnessed on any scripted television series. The hosts of the wildly popular home renovation series recently split after an altercation at their home in which Tarek pulled a gun from a safe in their house, and ran outside. Police arrived on the scene to calm down the situation, and Tarek eventually handed over his firearm. Although the incident was intense for all parties involved, there was ultimately no violence, no charges were ever filed, and Tarek El Moussa has reportedly denied any and all allegations that he was suicidal during this period.

Tarek and Christina have supposedly moved on from their marriage and started dating other people, and earlier rumors had indicated that they had every intention of continuing Flip or Flop in the wake of their relationship issues. However, it's now slowly but surely looking like the show may not survive the problems in their personal lives.
