Charlie Sheen Went Off About Chuck Lorre In A Vicious NSFW Rant
Charlie Sheen has been a bit of a loose cannon in recent years, as he has dealt with a dwindling career and all manner of personal problems. His often public issues really started around the time that he was fired from Two and a Half Men back in 2011, and recent comments from Sheen indicate he is still not over what happened with his hit CBS sitcom. While speaking on the radio, Charlie Sheen had some vicious things to say about Chuck Lorre, the producer who spearheaded Two and a Half Men. Please note there are f-bombs and more in this rant. Here it is, unedited.
Speaking on Kyle and Jackie O on Wednesday over at KIIS 106.5, Charlie Sheen had some major things to say about Chuck Lorre, who has famously not gotten along with the actor since he caused so many problems on set, leading to his firing. Subsequently, Two and a Half Men signed on Ashton Kutcher to fulfill a similar role on the sitcom and when it ended in 2015, there was talk that Sheen and Lorre might bury the hatchet and that the actor might appear in the finale. Instead, Chuck Lorre used a body double to kill off Sheen's character, Charlie Harper. Needless to say, Charlie Sheen was not happy about what happened, at the time noting:
Not willing to stop at "fucking douchebag," Charlie Sheen also announced that Chuck Lorre should "suck [his] butt" and other not-so-cleverly worded insults. It's clear that Sheen isn't over the derailing of his career and, at least on some level, blames the successful producer for that. As Chuck Lorre is doing really well right now, producing The Big Bang Theory, Mom and the upcoming Disjointed and Sheldon projects and Charlie Sheen is not having a high moment in his career, I can see why the emotional actor is willing to express his disgruntlement. Not sure it is going to do him any good, however.
We are long past the days when Charlie's Sheen's social media presence was #winning. We're past the days when rants about tiger blood kept us entertained. We're past the time when Sheen's anger toward his former sitcom was unexpected. While I doubt Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre will ever be on the same page again, I really do hope the actor gets to the point where he is OK with it. Because, really, what's the alternative?
