One Possible Grey's Anatomy Hook-Up Has Fans In Flames On Twitter
ABC's Grey's Anatomy has always been a hotbed of hookups that would have fans saying yay or nay to new couples and their nookie-making ways. Well, it's possible that we have a new Grey's couple on our hands, and Twitter lost its damn mind over it this week. So, what potential new coupling is everyone going nuts over? It just so happens that its everyone's favorite friends without benefits, Meredith and Alex.
Let me give you a bit of backstory. So, we all know that Alex was determined to turn himself in for beating the ever loving crap out of DeLuca the last time we saw the wayward doctor. Meredith, convinced he had done just that and was sent to prison, then spent most of Thursday's episode trying to figure out what local pokey he'd been sent to so she could offer her support in person. She gets home, having not found Alex, sits on her bed and is surprised to find that Alex has been hiding out there all day. What happened next is what got our friendly Grey's Anatomy fans worked up on Twitter. Meredith pushed Alex back down on the bed, the screen goes dark and they each confirm that Alex has been there "all day."
What's the big deal, you ask? Well, many fans have taken this to mean that Alex and Meredith, so happy that he's not in prison, have finally decided to take their friendship to the next, logical, knockin' boots level.
Apparently, there are a lot of fans who've been shipping Meredith and Alex for quite a while now, even though they think the idea is kinda wrong.
And, a lot of people are now convinced that the abrupt fade to black of the scene means that some long-awaited #Merlex sexy times finally occurred.
What do you think, Grey's Anatomy fans? Did Meredith do the down and dirty with her BFF Alex? Let us know what you think in the comments, and be sure to check out our midseason premiere schedule to see what else you can watch on the small screen.
