Watch Kristen Stewart Accidentally Drop An F-Bomb Hosting SNL
There's nothing quite like live television; TV viewers love the palpable nerves and the excitement and life in the performances. Also, there's the chance that someone might screw up, and you get to see it happen live. This is part of what makes watching NBC's Saturday Night Live such a great experience- you just never know what's going to happen. And that was surely the case with last night's episode. In addition to surprise appearances by Melissa McCarthy and Alec Baldwin, last night's show also featured a major flub by Twilight actress Kristen Stewart.
Kristen Stewart hosted the extremely political show this week, and obviously had to start off her duties with the opening monologue. And she happened to accidentally drop the F-bomb on live TV. Check it out below.
Well, that's certainly one way to make an entrance. Obviously, Kristen Stewart seemed extremely embarrassed and apologetic, but the deed was done.
During Kristen Stewart's opening monologue, SNL cast members Aidy Bryant and Kate McKinnon came on stage to show Stewart that they're just as cool and aloof as she is. After telling them to drop the act, Stewart attempted to show just how excited she was to be hosting SNL. And that excitement just happened to come out in the form of a four letter word. Whoops.
Of course, this is not the first (and definitely won't be the last) time that someone accidentally slips out a "fuck" on SNL. Parks and Rec and The Secret Life of Pets actress Jenny Slate was part of the cast for one season, where she accidentally dropped an f-bomb during a sketch with Kristen Wiig. She was eventually let go after that season, although this may have been a folly on SNL's part, considering how successful her career has become.
You can check out Kristen Stewart's full opening monologue below. Although the curse word has since been bleeped out.
Part of what makes Saturday Night Live so exciting is seeing A-list celebrities attempt to perform live on TV. Because of this, we've had some iconic mess ups over the years. After all, who can forget Ashlee Simpson's lip syncing debacle? Or Lindsay Lohan's Debbie Downer sketch where the entire cast broke out into hysterics. It's these delightful imperfections that make for extra laughs, and crazy looking faces by the cast. I mean, just look at this.
