Why It's Not Weird To Work With Your Ex, According To Flip Or Flop's Christina El Moussa
Tarek and Christina El Moussa have spent the last several months in the limelight, after news broke that the prominent HGTV couple was splitting. Despite the very public divorce, the couple are still working together on HGTV's Flip or Flop, and this morning Christina El Moussa appeared on Good Morning America to provide some clarification about the split and what will happen moving forward. As the network itself has already noted, Tarek and Christina will still film Flip or Flop together, and El Moussa shed some light on why it's not weird for her to work with her ex. Here's what she had to say:
Basically, Tarek and Christina El Moussa had a professional relationship before they ever saw each other as a potential romantic partner. Because of that shared history, El Moussa does not think it will be difficult to fall back into old working patterns. Since Christina and Tarek El Moussa have to co-parent anyway, they are going to have to get on the same page about stuff related to their kids. Why not take the same tact with their work life, too?
Currently, new episodes of Flip or Flop are airing on HGTV and the former couple is busy filming Season 7 of the show, as well as running their seminar company, as El Moussa also managed to plug during Good Morning America. She stressed that she and Tarek El Moussa are normal, nice people going through a transition period during her daytime TV appearance, and she also made mention of the tabloids not always having the facts about her break-up with her husband.
If you haven't been keeping tabs on the El Moussa family, news first broke that the couple were splitting after months of therapy stemming from an incident that occurred last spring. While details are scarce on what happened, the police were called to the El Moussa home after Tarek El Moussa left the house and went out on a trail with a gun. Following therapy, the couple ultimately decided to divorce but to maintain a professional relationship. Tarek El Moussa is seeking spousal support and both individuals are looking to co-parent and to continue to work together. We'll have to wait and see how it all pans out. For now, Christina El Moussa seems determined to make it work. This is the second time in a week she's asserted that her working relationship with Tarek El Moussa will all work out. Fingers crossed, because a lot of people really do love Flip or Flop.
