See Julie Benz’s Tribute To Bill Paxton, Her Training Day Co-Star

Film and TV buffs all around the world are still reeling from this morning's devastating news. Bill Paxton's unexpected death has sent a somber shockwave through Hollywood, and yet another mourning process has officially begun. In response to Paxton's death, the iconic actor's Training Day co-star Julie Benz has taken to Twitter to honor the life of this silver and small screen great. Check out her tweet below.

Julie Benz short and sweet tweet to commemorate the life of Bill Paxton is one of many social media posts that we will see in the coming days. It is far from a flashy tweet, and it does not need to be. The post simply features a photo of the two during their time together on Training Day, as well as caption remembering him as a "sweet friend."

In addition to Julie Benz, Training Day's Justin Cornwell similarly took to Twitter this morning to honor the life of his co-star. Here's what he had to say about the somber development:

What are you looking at? I'm not crying. You're crying.

The impact of Bill Paxton's passing extends far beyond Training Day. The actor's resume goes as far back as the early 1980s, and he developed a reputation as one of Hollywood's most recognizable and talented character actors. With credits in iconic films like The Terminator, and Aliens, as well as hit shows like Big Love, he easily cemented himself as a Hollywood legend who could deliver drama and comedy in equal measure.

Of course, Bill Paxton's tragic passing also raises questions regarding the future of Training Day on CBS. The series in many ways feels centered on his charismatic presence, and it will be nearly impossible to keep the show going without him front and center. We will have to wait and see how CBS proceeds from here. That said, that's a conversation for another day; for now, we mourn this film and television legend.

Training Day airs every Thursday at 10 p.m. EST on CBS. For now, all we really have left to say is rest in peace, Mr. Paxton; your contributions to the realm of pop culture will not be forgotten anytime soon.
