Watch Walking Dead Vet Steven Yeun Play A Giant Stoner On Bajillion Dollar Propertie$
2016 wasn't a great year for Steven Yeun. More specifically, his Walking Dead character Glenn and fans of said character. Yeun actually voiced leads for the Netflix Original animated series Voltron: Legendary Defender and Trollhunters (co-starring the late Anton Yelchin), and co-starred in some potentially great films to be released soon. I guess it was a great year for him, and as such, he deserves a celebration. In this clip from the hilarious Seeso comedy Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, Yeun takes a gasmask of weed smoke to the dome.
For those unfamiliar with Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, created by Who Charted co-host and all-around stellar comedian Kulap Vilaysack, get on that. But it's a streaming series that parodies home-buyer reality shows, centering on the crackpot ensemble of employees working at the fictional company Platinum Realty, run by the great Paul F. Tompkins' Dean Rosedragon. In the clip above, Dan Ahdoot's often overwhelmed Amir Yaghoob is clearly in over his head, thanks to some really dunderheaded decisions from his new client Eric, played by Yeun. This is the kinda guy who invites people over to a house that he hasn't even bought yet. Which can be okay if it's a professional friend tagging along to help with critical thinking, but not a friend helping clear the mega-bong.
Despite not doing very much at all, Steven Yeun steals the scene, from gas mask-lifting reveal to the final moments where he's staring wildly from the stairs. But there's no denying the crème de la crème moments come when everybody starts grooving to the boombox. True story: at one point in my youth, my friends' house was filled with people doing that exact bouncy dance simultaneously to some Bob Marley song, like a social media trend before that sorta thing existed. Pop them shoulders along to the beat, boyeee.
While The Walking Dead is obviously where most people know Steven Yeun, the actor is beyond accomplished in the world of comedy, and thankfully gets to prove it on a regular basis on shows like Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, American Dad!, Comedy Bang! Bang!, NTSF:SD:SUV::, and other shows with punctuation and symbols in the titles. He'll soon be seen in the Netflix action-adventure from Bong Joon-ho, Okja, as well as the animated adaptation of the excellent comic book Chew.
Meanwhile, you can watch the Season 3 premiere of Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ when it hits Seeso on Thursday, June 1.
