Another Flip Or Flop Spinoff Is Happening At HGTV
HGTV has been pumping out spinoff after spinoff of their hit shows as of late, and they've got yet another one on the way. Home renovation show enthusiasts should be prepared for a journey to "Paradise," as the network has signed off on another series in the Flip Or Flop franchise, Flip Or Flop Paradise. Don't be fooled by the name though, as while one may think this is a show about traveling to far off destinations, this spinoff is keeping things within the U.S. border.
While Flip Or Flop Paradise may sound like a show where people renovate shacks in exotic locations for massive profits, it's actually a play on the city in which the series will take place, Paradise, California. Hosted by David and Chenoa Rivera, the series will feature the couple as they renovate outdated cabins and vacation homes in the small California town, and attempt to draw in folks looking to raise a family or for a place to stay in the popular vacation spot. HGTV says the series is set to premiere in April 2018 and will run for eight episodes.
Flip Or Flop Paradise will be one of three spinoffs for the franchise that will premiere in 2018. Flip Or Flop Nashville and Flip Or Flop Chicago will also make their debut in 2018, and another spinoff, Flip Or Flop Fort Worth, is expected to launch November 2nd of this year. At the rate these spinoffs are being made, it only seems to be a matter of time until HGTV has a Flip Or Flop show operating out of every city in America!
The multiple Flip Or Flop spinoffs, which have been planned for quite a while, seem, in part, to be an effort to draw attention away from the original Flip Or Flop. The last thing we reported on the ongoing drama between hosts Tarek and Christina El Moussa was that the couple had no plans to do any episodes beyond the first five they shot for Season 7, which would appear to indicate the show might be heading towards a close. In either case, it looks like HGTV is preparing to lose one of its more successful shows and press onward with multiple spinoffs like Flip Or Flop Paradise and see if the franchise can live on through other couples.
Flip Or Flop Paradise is expected to premiere in April 2018 on HGTV. When it comes to spinoffs and this network, they dish them out left and right, as House Hunters launched a new one earlier this year, as did Fixer Upper.
