Watch The Flash, Supergirl And More Battle Their Nazi Doubles In Epic New Crossover Trailer
The annual Arrow-verse crossover is on the way, and we'll soon see the heroes of Supergirl, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Arrow join forces to battle an enemy they never expected: Nazis. The "Crisis On Earth-X" crossover will feature the good guys of Earth-1 battling the very bad guys of Earth-X, who just so happen to be their evil doubles living in a world in which the Nazis won World War II. A first teaser gave a chilling look at Earth-X; now, the full trailer shows our heroes' Nazi doubles in action in some pretty scary ways. Take a look!
Going by the trailer, it seems safe to say that Overgirl -- that is, Evil Supergirl from Earth-X -- will have a large part to play in the upcoming battle, which does not bode well for the heroes of Earth-1. While all the heroes bring their own strengths to the table in the crime-fighting business, Supergirl is the real muscle of the group. Without kryptonite, their only hope against Overgirl is probably either Supergirl herself or Alex, who is quite familiar with Kryptonian biology.
Given that we see Earth-1 Kara dressed in what seem to be scrubs and strapped to a table while Overgirl stands over her, Overgirl evidently gets the better of the Girl of Steel at some point in the two-part crossover. That's not to say that Kara will be out of commission for the whole crossover; in fact, assuming she escapes, her capture may have given her the inside info (and motivation) to mount a real attack against the bad guys.
The other evil doppelganger who got a lot of screentime in the trailer is none other than Dark Arrow, a.k.a. the evil version of Oliver Queen's Green Arrow. Interestingly, however, the Dark Arrow is never seen without his mask, which raises the question: is somebody other than Earth-X Oliver working as the Dark Arrow? We do know that a Prometheus will have a role in the crossover, and there are other archer candidates from Arrow history who could make sense as the Dark Arrow of Earth-X.
That said, the earlier teaser did reveal Oliver in what looked like a Nazi uniform. Either the shot of Oliver in uniform is Earth-1 Oliver wearing a disguise to fit in with the legions of Nazis a la Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark, or Earth-X Oliver is alive and well. An Earth-X Oliver doesn't necessarily have to be the Dark Arrow, however, and we may want to expect a big twist on the Green Arrow/Dark Arrow front.
All things considered, Barry and Iris will not be having the wedding of their dreams as intended. Hopefully Nazis crashing their nuptials won't be enough of a bad sign that they'll want to call off the marriage altogether. We'll have to wait and see. The four-part "Crisis On Earth-X" crossover will kick off on Monday, November 27 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW, then conclude on Tuesday, November 28. Be sure to tune in to see the heroes of Earth-1 battle their evil counterparts. For the shows that won't be back, check out our rundown of all the 2017 TV cancellations.
