One Of The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Is Leaving The Show, Here’s Why
It's been a wild season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Season 8 has brought a new comer in the form of Margaret Josephs, and the long awaited return of OG villain Danielle Staub. But rather than Danielle, most of the drama this season revolved around Siggy Flicker in her sophomore run on the series, with her sensitivity and emotional outbursts provide fodder for drama throughout the first eleven episodes. And while we still have a few more episodes before Season 8 ends, it looks like Siggy is already planning on leaving the series-- Ms. Flicker is leaving RHONJ after just two seasons.
This news comes to us from Bravo TV's official website, where Siggy made an announcement regarding her departure from the popular reality show. She said,
Siggy is officially leaving the series, and one has to wonder if it was because of the colorful season she had this season.
While Siggy Flicker joined the Real Housewives of New Jersey in Season 7, she's had two drastically different seasons. Last season saw Siggy most trying to play the mediator, as Teresa and Jacqueline's feud continued throughout the entirety of the season. Siggy seemed zany, but level headed and overall a great addition to the colorful cast of New Jersey women.
But Season 8 showed a different side of the housewife. When on a trip to Boca Raton with the girls, Siggy presented an expensive and beautiful cake for Melissa Gorga's birthday. But when Melissa and her sister-in-law Teresa starting having too much fun and threw the cake across the room, Siggy was not pleased. The cake incident has been mentioned at least once in every episode since, with Siggy also having a major conflict with newcomer Margaret Josephs and a small quarrel with Danielle Staub in the girls' trip to Milan
Overall, Siggy's edit wasn't too favorable this season, and she's likely been getting some major flack on social media. Siggy is probably the closest thing to the villain in Season 8, so the fan reaction must not have been pretty. It's unclear if this is why she decided to depart RHONJ, but it would certainly stand to reason.
Luckily, we still have a few more episodes to enjoy Siggy's antics, before her final appearance on the series. The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Wednesdays on Bravo.
