There are maybe 100 different questions about Avengers: Infinity War right now, but maybe the most important one is what will the Stan Lee cameo be? Marvel fans are trained to spot a Stan Lee cameo in any given Marvel project, but I doubt they were expecting to find him on a recent episode of Jeopardy!. Legendary comic book writer Stan Lee got his very own category on the classic game show, and even presented some of the questions himself via a video recording.
Stan Lee is now almost as popular as his own superhero creations. The 95-year-old co-creator of Marvel mainstays like Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, and Iron Man has gotten to cameo in just about every major Marvel project (even the Netflix stuff), and now even just casual fans can probably recognize him. That's why it makes too much sense that he'd get his own category on an episode of Jeopardy! Rather than have to answer questions about geography or poetry about boats, contestants had to answer questions about Stan "The Man" Lee. As you might have imagined, they were extremely easy.
Occasionally on Jeopardy!, questions will be delivered via a video message, usually delivered by an expert on the topic or the subject of the questions themselves. This was a case of the later and Stan Lee appeared in a video recording to ask questions about his own life. The first question was which of his superhero character he would most like to be. The clue was that this character was rich, handsome, the ladies love him, and he's got "an iron costume -- man!" That's right, it's the Hulk!
The other questions weren't quite as on the nose as that. One was in what movie did Stan Lee cameo as a mental patient (a nice Thor: The Dark World shout out) while another asked which boss character of Spider-Man did Stan Lee base on himself. One question asked to name the Fantastic Four after showing an actual picture of the Fantastic Four. Not the hardest questions in Jeopardy! history, but it's still fun!
Test your own Stan Lee knowledge by watching some clips of the comic book veterans appearance on Jeopardy! in the video below.
We can't say for sure what other game shows Stan Lee will be cameoing on, but there are still plenty of Marvel movies coming soon that will more than likely feature an appearance from Stan Lee. You can find out all the Marvel movies due to come out by visiting our Marvel movie release guide.
