Gary Unmarried
(originally titled Project Gary) is a new CBS comedy series that centers on Gary Brooks, a recently divorced man who is trying to re-adjust to single life while also maintaining a relationship with his 11-year-old daughter Louise and 14-year-old son Tom. Gary doesn’t get along with his ex-wife Allison but after 15 years of marriage and a messy divorce, there’s still some chemistry there. While at work painting houses, Gary meets Vanessa, a single mom whom he wants to date. The problem is, he’s sure Allison won’t approve of him dating. Little does he know, Allison is engaged to their shrink. Upon learning that little tidbit about his ex-wife, Gary decides it’s time to move on and pursue post-marriage happiness.
