Hole in the Wall is a new game show based on a Japanese series. In each episode, two teams of three contestants get suited up and then attempt to fit through various shapes cut out from large barriers. Some rounds involve the contestants performing individually by contorting their bodies so that they can fit through the different shapes while other rounds involve the teams working together to get through the barriers in pairs or as a group. It’s all about striking the right pose. At the end of the episode, the team with the most points wins $25,000 and the opportunity to face the “Blind Wall” in the hopes of winning an additional $100,000.

I’m rarely enthusiastic about game shows but this one looks like a lot of fun. There’s just something hilarious about people basically trying to turn themselves into giant puzzle pieces. I expect the real humor will come from seeing people miss the hole completely. I’m not sure how long the novelty would last though but it’ll be fun to watch, at least for a few weeks.
