Prison Break is a Fox thriller/drama series that started out following Michael Scofield, a structural engineer who intentionally gets arrested and sent to prison in an effort to help his brother, who was framed for murder, escape. The first season covers the initial prison break. In the second season, Scofield, his brother Lincoln Burrows and six other inmates who escaped split up and are on the run. All the while they’re being pursued by a highly influential organization known as The Company (the group that framed Burrows). The second season ends with Scofield, T-Bag and Mahone arrested in Panama and sent to The Federal Penitentiary of Sona.

The third season was cut short by the strike but followed Scofield inside Sona and Burrows on the outside. The Company wanted Scofield in Sona because they want him to break prisoner James Whistler out. They kidnap LJ (Burrows’ son) and Sara (the woman Scofield loves) in an effort to persuade Scofield to do what they want. Scofield eventually succeeds but The Company kills Sara and sends Burrows her head in a box.
Ok, spoilers ahead!
In season 4, Michael is out for revenge on The Company for Sara’s murder but as it turns out, it looks like it wasn’t Sara’s head in the box. More on that in the video we posted below!
I’m pretty sure I saw the series premiere of Prison Break but I stopped watching the show after that and at this point, the plot and character story arcs sound way too complicated for me to jump in at the fourth season. That said, when I was researching the premise of this series, I found that it actually sounds like it turned out to be a pretty good show (I guess I should have listened to everyone who’s been raving about it). I wondered what the writers would do with the series after the actual prison break finally happened but all of this business with The Company sounds kind of intriguing. I may just have to get the first season on DVD and give the series another shot.
