Anyone who’s seen Tracey Ullman’s previous TV series should be pretty familiar with her style of comedy. In Tracey Ullman’s State of the Union, Ullman will impersonate Americans from all walks of life in various comedic sketches. Whether it’s celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Renee Zellweger, Dina Lohan, Tony Sirico or David Beckham, or someone more generic like a homeless woman with no health insurance, a soldier on leave from Iraq or an Indian pharmacist, Tracey pokes fun at pretty much everyone who represents American culture.

I’ve always been a fan of Tracey Ullman. She has a knack for impersonations and knows how to cross the line just enough to be funny without being over-the-top offensive. I think given the fact that this country is so diverse and there are so many social issues constantly being addressed (everything from celebrity obsessions to healthcare, the war, the presidential elections, our obsession with reality TV and everything in between), I doubt Ullman will have a hard time coming up with new material for each new episode.
