Dance Machine is a new dance game show in which contestants compete against each other each week for a cash prize. In each new episode, there are six different contestants who perform their moves to popular songs in front of an audience. The studio audience votes throughout the episode to eliminate dancers one by one. At the end of the episode, the final two dancers have a dance-off and the winner walks away with $100,000.

ABC promise a diverse group of contestants from all walks of life.
I’m not sure what to make of this show. The promo (below) hints that there will be some funny dancers as well as some dancers who are really good. Considering it’s airing on Friday night, I think it’s a good move to make this series more like a game show than an ongoing competition. This looks like the kind of show that will be fun to watch on a once-in-a-while basis but I can’t see myself getting hooked on it.
