On The Next Food Network Starvarious chefs compete against one another in the hopes of winning their own Food Network series. The contestants compete in various food and cooking related challenges in an effort to win the judges' favor and not get eliminated each week. They also get the opportunity to meet actual Food Network stars and celebrity chefs.

I haven’t seen any of the previous seasons of this series but one of the things that interests me is how the judges base their opinions. Given the fact that the prize is a Food Network Series, I’m guessing the judges would base their choice not only on their cooking abilities but also on their charisma as well as their ability to talk and present what they’re doing in a way that works for a TV series.
