Ghost Hunters is an unscripted SciFi Channel series that follows the work of Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson. By day, these guys are plumbers but it’s their night job, in which they head up TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) that is the focus of the series. TAPS travels all of the US and even parts of Europe investigating paranormal activity.

Strange voices, mysteriously moving furniture, and “ghostly visages” are some of the things you might see in an episode of the series. When the fourth season premieres, TAPS visits the legendary Fort Mifflin in Philadelphia, PA. The area was the site of a number of battles in both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. People in the area claim to have seen apparitions and others have heard the sound of a woman screaming in terror coming from an empty room.
I think the level of interest one would have in a show like this relies almost entirely on how open-minded they are to the whole ghost thing. For me personally, I’m willing to consider that ghosts might actually be real and that at least some of the people who claim to have seen one might actually be telling the truth. I guess you could call me skeptically curious about the subject. I think when it comes to a series like Ghost Hunters, that kind of view on the subject would be enough to allow me to enjoy an episode of the show. I’ve caught bits and pieces of it in the past and always found it interesting (and occasionally kind of creepy!).
