2009 Summer TV Preview: Psych
Early next month USA is bringing Psych back with new episodes. The fourth season promises intensified action, including an old-fashioned style showdown when Shawn and Gus attempt to save an old western town from being taken over by a corporation. Guest stars appearing in upcoming episodes include Cary Elwes, James Brolin, and Rachael Leigh Cook.
Psych is one of my favorite summer shows. Between the clever little mysteries, the witty banter and Shawn and Gus’ bromance, there really isn’t a lot not to love about this show. Plus, the overall character development moves slowly enough that even if you’ve never seen an episode or you’re only a casual viewer, it isn’t difficult to jump in and enjoy the show on an episode to episode basis. For devoted viewers, there are plenty of inside jokes and of course, the unfolding history of Shawn and Gus’ friendship as well as Shawn’s relationship with his dad to watch unfold via the occasional flashback.
