Watch Stranger Things' David Harbour Do The Hopper Dance With A Bunch Of Penguins
We're currently in the midst of a TV renaissance. There is a wealth of material to be enjoyed, spread out across cable, network TV, and streaming services. The latter was all started by Netflix, which has an impressive catalogue that includes Stranger Things. The sci-fi period piece recently celebrated its triumphant second season in October. Season 2 was once again largely focused on David Harbour's Hopper, who was revealed to be a new father figure for Eleven. During a flashback in Episode 3, Hopper tries to get the girl comfortable, putting on a record and doing a goofy dance. Now Harbour has done it again, this time surrounded by penguins. Check out all the glory below.
Honestly, I can't think of anything more delightful. David Harbour continues to be a national treasure, and does it all while saving penguins. It's no wonder he's going to be playing a bonafide superhero in the near future.
This fantastic bit of content comes to us from David Harbour's personal Twitter page. He's working alongside Green Peace, on a mission to help protect the Antarctic Ocean. While watching him recreate Hopper's sweet moves from Stranger Things is enough to get the diehard fans interested, he's trying to do something greater while grooving with penguins.
Hopper's little dance was one of the most iconic scenes from Stranger Things 2, and went viral fairly instantly once the season debuted in October. He and Eleven's relationship was a real highlight of the season, as we watched the two fan favorites clash with and care for each other. The season ultimately ended with Hopper officially adopting Jane, and hopefully giving her some sense of a normal life. At least until the Mind Flayer shows back up.
Because Stranger Things is so popular, there's plenty of viral content floating around about the world of Hawkins. This includes Hopper's dance, which has been dubbed with a plethora of hilarious song choices. Check it out below.
Not only is David Harbour utterly adorable during his dance, but he somehow manages to stay on beat regardless of song choice.
Fans are eager to see what's next for Hopper in Stranger Things, and David Harbour is known for being one of the most chatty members of the cast. But before that arrives, cinephiles and comic book fans will get to see him star as the title character in Hellboy, debuting January 11, 2019.
