The Double Dare reboot just landed two very special contestants for its upcoming season. All That alums and former sitcom co-stars Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are set to compete on an upcoming episode of the Nickelodeon game show. The actors, who starred on the beloved comedy Kenan & Kel together, will compete against each other in the episode.
It is pretty much a scientific fact that the Double Dare reboot just got a double dose of pure awesome. The next best thing besides a Kenan & Kel revival will be seeing the duo team up on-screen again on the hilarity-prone game show. Adding to the episode's throwback synergy is that the pair's former All That co-star Lori Beth Denberg will join Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell for the special edition episode. EW broke the news that will have many Nickelodeon fans very excited.
In the years since Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell's sitcom Kenan & Kel came to a close in 2000, the actors have remained busy and in-demand. Three years after the show ended, Thompson joined the cast of Saturday Night Live. As fans of All That probably know, the comedy sketch show was sort of Nickelodeon's answer to the NBC show. Back in 2015, Thompson and Mitchell reunited for a skit on Saturday Night Live. Mitchell currently stars on the Nickelodeon series Game Shakers.
Although both Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell have found huge success outside of their collaborative endeavors, there has always been something special about what they share together. So the opportunity to see them reteam on a stage as great as Double Dare can provide for participants is exceptionally exciting. Not to be greedy, but is there a chance the duo could reteam for a special episode of Kenan & Kel, as well? While it is a long shot, you always have to take a chance at putting it out there.
