Cloak And Dagger Stars Reveal Which Marvel Heroes They Want On The Show
The latest successful Marvel series to hit the small screen was none other than Cloak & Dagger on Freeform. Despite some ties to other projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Cloak & Dagger largely feels on its own down in the New Orleans as Tandy and Tyrone deal with some serious problems on the home front. That said, the cast of Cloak & Dagger recently weighed in on the Marvel heroes they'd like to see drop by the series. Here's what they had to say during the Cloak & Dagger panel, moderated by Marvel TV Head Jeph Loeb, at San Diego Comic-Con:
As the leading lady of Cloak & Dagger, Olivia Holt is no stranger to pondering which MCU characters she'd like to see drop by New Orleans at some point. While there's no shortage of people for her to choose from and even change her mind about, she's apparently on board now with Jessica Jones turning up on the show. Given that Cloak & Dagger was just renewed for Season 2, maybe the higher-ups at Marvel can find a way to ship Jessica and/or some of her pals down to the Big Easy for an adventure or two.
Cloak & Dagger leading man Aubrey Joseph has a different idea of the MCU hero who would be a great addition to the show, saying this:
Luke Cage is at the top of Aubrey Joseph's list of Marvel good guys who should appear on Cloak & Dagger, and he has a pretty great reason. As a hero of Joseph's hometown, Cage would appeal to him on a personal level. Who knows? Maybe Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt could both get their wish. Luke Cage and Jessica Jones are allies in the Netflix corner of the MCU; maybe they could both be called down south. Besides, a connection to Cloak & Dagger was included in the latest season of Luke Cage, so it could totally happen, right?
Emma Lahana plays local detective Brigid O'Reilly, who is shaping up to be an ally to Tandy and Tyrone. A temporary partnership between Brigid and Misty Knight of the Netflix shows could definitely be awesome. They both have the law enforcement background and have proven willing to bend the rules in the pursuit of justice. They would make a formidable team, and they could totally meet up for drinks later to commiserate on the craziness that comes with superpowered folks running around.
Ally Maki is on board Cloak & Dagger as Mina Hess, and she reached outside of the Netflix shows for a character to bring down to New Orleans. In a perfect world, she would incorporate Agents of S.H.I.E.LD.'s Quake, a.k.a. Daisy Johnson, played by Maki's real-life friend and former roommate Chloe Bennet. Who wouldn't watch that team-up?
Cloak & Dagger showrunner Joe Pokaski, who recently teased a major Marvel villain that may have already appeared in an episode, ventured out of the MCU and into Marvel projects in general to pick his character he'd like to appear on the show. Legion's David would visit Cloak & Dagger in Pokaski's perfect world, although that might be difficult given how the second season of Legion ended. Something tells me David isn't looking for any trips down to New Orleans any time soon. He has different (and more disturbing) priorities.
