James Corden's Attempts To Do Carpool Karaoke With Kanye Haven't Gone Well
James Corden has built a late night career around fun games and sketches on CBS. His most prominent claim to fame is likely "Carpool Karaoke," a segment in which he spends time in a car singing with some of the most popular musical acts. Recently, while Kris Jenner was appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden, she asked the late night host why Kanye West hasn't appeared on "Carpool Karaoke." We're not totally sure she was prepared for the answer she got, as James Corden revealed he's tried so many times, and none of the attempts have gone well. Per Corden:
If this isn't a prime example of Kanye being Kanye, we're not sure what is. In fact, however, his decision not to appear had actual repercussions. It cost the show a lot of money for Kanye to cancel appearances on "Carpool Karaoke." And all James Corden got out of the ordeal was a pair of Kanye West's famous shoes and some cube flowers. As Corden himself put it.
All of these little factoids came out during a game of "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts" in which case both Kris Jenner and James Corden had to answer questions or try some truly unappealing food items. To watch Kris Jenner avoid answering questions about her daughters and eating a sardine-oriented shake instead, you can check outthe full clip, below.
Now that the truth is out, perhaps Kanye West will one day make the effort to appear on The Late Late Show with James Corden in a "Carpool Karaoke" segment. Hopefully, the next time he tries, he'll follow through, too. Otherwise the CBS show is likely going to be out another $45 grand.
You can catch The Late Late Show with James Corden on weeknights, only on CBS. In addition, we'll be sure to keep you posted the next time "Carpool Karaoke" gets a big guest.
