Chris Hemsworth Had The Best Response To The Rock’s Titan Games Pitch For Thor
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been having a blast on The Titan Games, which also seems to be doing well for NBC. He used some recent air time to do a few of his favorite things -- trash talk one of his fellow famous tough guys, but also pitch a team-up with said tough guy. In this case, he picked up a hammer and used it to suggest a Thor and Fast and Furious movie.
Watch Dwayne Johnson's mid-show pitch, and pay attention to the Thor hashtag, 'cause Thor star Chris Hemsworth referred to it in his response:
Can you imagine Marvel Studios' boss Kevin Feige's face if he really did get a call from The Rock asking "Hey, can we borrow Thor for another Fast spinoff?"
Anyway, the MCU's Thor himself was tagged in Dwayne Johnson's tweet, and Chris Hemsworth prepared the perfect response to #ThorHitsTheFloor:
Beautiful. My favorite part of that isn't even the Photoshopped Dirty Dancing images, although they are divine. It's the fact that Chris Hemsworth actually competed on Dancing With the Stars Australia several years ago and would indeed rock a dance movie with The Rock. Never mind another Fast and Furious movie, I want this dance movie.
The Rock has his own real Fast and Furious spinoff movie with Jason Statham called Hobbs and Shaw, and that's coming to theaters August 2. Chris Hemsworth is slightly busy this year himself, bringing Thor back for Avengers: Endgame in April and also giving the world Men in Black International in June. Whatever happens with Thor in Endgame, they should at least bring him back for one more video with his old roommate Darryl, and maybe add The Rock as the latest roommate.
This isn't the first time The Rock has tried to get one of the MCU Chrises on board with a zany scheme. He has posted on Instagram about having an idea for a movie with Chris Pratt. Maybe just add him to this imaginary Fast and Furious movie with Thor. Star Lord can hit the floor too. The man does love to dance.
