Patrick J. Adams Joins His First Show Since Leaving Suits
Patrick J. Adams has joined his first TV show since leaving Suits, and it should “suit” him perfectly. The actor has signed on for a series gig, recurring in the third season of the Amazon series Sneaky Pete.
There is not a whole lot of info available about his role, here is what is. Patrick J. Adams will play Stefano Kilbane on Sneaky Pete, per Deadline . To put it mildly, the role sounds highly intriguing. Stefano is described as an “arrogant” business mogul with his fair share of obsessions.
Stefano Kilbane has two noted fixations – fine art and a “deep need” for revenge. Someone needs to settle down and watch Jake Gyllenhaal’s new movie. Who are we kidding? He is definitely not going to do that. Where would the drama be?
For those unfamiliar with the series, Sneaky Pete is a dramedy/thriller. It follows Giovanni Ribisi’s Marius. After his release from prison, he takes on the identity of his cellmate, Pete. The reason? To hide out from a gangster, who wants retribution.
In the process, Marius meets Pete’s estranged family with whom he gets close, despite trying to treat it as another con. So far, there has been a crime or heist element in every season of the series. Sneaky Pete is one of those shows most assuredly worth catching up on before Patrick J. Adams’ season premieres.
For pre-existing fans of Sneaky Pete, what has been revealed about Patrick J. Adams' character is highly compelling for many reasons. While it may not seem like a lot to go on at first, there is more than meets the eye to those details.
First off, his character Stefano is fixated on fine art. Can someone say potential art heist? Marius could want to pull one off in Season 3 -- something that could put him in Stefano’s crosshairs.

There is another possibility as well. Marius has already done an art heist of some sort before his days on Sneaky Pete. Stefano could have bought the forgery placed by Marius and be out for revenge against the person who pulled the switch. Furious, he could be after Marius to produce the real deal.
That would tie together Stefano’s interest in fine art and his deep-seated need for revenge with Marius. Every season of Sneaky Pete has had a big bad. The series’ co-creator, Bryan Cranston, played Season 1’s. John Ales played Season 2’s. Could Patrick J. Adams be Season 3’s?
Between Stefano’s need for revenge and the potential means for Marius to have pulled a heist in the character info, it is possible. It certainly does not rule him out. All of this could be a lot of fun.
Patrick J. Adams left Suits at the end of Season 7, alongside co-star and on-screen love interest, Meghan Markle. Their characters rode off into the sunset together. You will have to tune into Sneaky Pete Season 3 to find out if his new character is as fortunate.
A release date for Sneaky Pete’s third season has not been released yet, so stay tuned. New episodes of Suits Season 8B air Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on USA. The legal drama is among many shows returning this winter.
