How Game Of Thrones Is Changing Sansa's Look Up In Season 8
Sansa Stark will be debuting a new look in Game of Thrones Season 8. Long-known for her ever-evolving style choices, Sansa will be shaking things up again. No, it will not have anything to do with her hair. Sophie Turner shared that Sansa is getting armor, saying:
Good for Sansa! Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner shared the costuming revelation with EW, which added a crucial detail to the emerging portrait of what to anticipate. Do not expect Sansa to be rocking Jon Snow’s metal-plated armor with House Stark’s direwolves.
Sansa’s armor will be of the leather variety and in keeping with her siblings’ attire, will not be super colorful. It is said to be “jet-black” and made of “thick” material. All of which should make for the pretty strong warrior-look that Sophie Turner expressed a desire for Sansa to have.
The Lady of Winterfell’s new outfit is both an exciting and timely measure for her to take. Remember, the Army of the Dead broke through a major barrier in their journey south of The Wall. Thanks to the Night King’s re-animation of Daenerys’ fallen dragon, he was able to destroy the Wall that stood for so many hundreds of years.
Despite Sansa getting armor, it seems unlikely to expect her to be whirling around a sword. Sansa has been more of a strategist and a warrior with words than a physical combatant. Game of Thrones viewers will have to watch and see for sure.
Based on the armor, it's probably safe to say that Sansa is taking the proper measures to ensure her safety. Considering what is heading Winterfell’s way, that is the right move. Wearing a little armor never hurts. Do not worry, you have not missed anything in terms of being able to see it. Footage of Sansa in her armor is still to come.
Will Game of Thrones make a big moment out of Sansa revealing her armor? Should you expect a slow-motion moment as she takes to Winterfell’s parapet? As awesome as that would be, it also an unlikely thing to see. At least, when you consider how characters have traditionally rolled out their new looks on the drama.

While a lot of merited attention has been given to the changes the wardrobe of Game of Thrones’ ensemble has undergone throughout the seasons, not much has been made about it on-screen. Daenerys and Cersei both rocked some of Season 7’s most notable change-ups. Regardless, it did not stir on-screen conversation. Fans will have to wait and see if Sansa breaks ranks on that front.
In the first images from Season 8, Sansa can be seen wearing similar attire to what she did in Game of Thrones’ previous season. So, Game of Thrones is keeping her armor under wraps for now. That will all change when Game of Thrones' final season premieres Sunday, April 14 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO. Season 8 is among a lot of new TV content awaiting viewers in the midseason.
