The Oscars were home to a glorious reunion between co-stars. Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa reunited at the annual fete, and the result was adorableness in overdrive. Momoa, in fact, shared some fun snapshots from his and Clarke’s big reunion. Check out the first one from Momoa’s Instagram below:
How sweet is this? Reunions between co-stars are one of the major pluses to any awards show. Despite only appearing on a single season of Game of Thrones, Jason Momoa’s Khal Drogo left a lasting impression. It is great to see that the co-stars have remained close since their time on Game of Thrones ended.
As fans know, Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa played Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo, who married on the series. Their storyline was a pivotal one for Daenerys. Drogo eventually died as did their son. Shortly after, Daenerys decided to walk into the flames with her dragon eggs, emerging as the Mother of Dragons.

Such a nice picture of the trio! While the Oscars meet-up marks the latest reunion between Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke, since Game of Thrones, it is not their first. The two previously reunited at the cast party for Game of Thrones back in June of 2018.
At the time, Emilia Clarke shared a picture from the exciting reunion, which included Jason Momoa lifting her up for a fun pose. A lot has changed since then. Clarke is back to her brunette look. Last summer, she was still rocking Daenerys’ platinum hair. Now, the premiere of Game of Thrones’ final season is much closer and filming has wrapped on the final episodes, so it makes sense the actress would be back to her regular look.
Emilia Clarke was busy at the Oscars. Not only did she find time to reunite with her former co-star, but she also made time to tease Season 8 of the HBO fantasy series. Clarke warned that the series’ final season would “shock people.” Start speculating now!
Given how well-received Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa’s time on Game of Thrones was, it makes me wonder: Would they be willing to re-team on another project? Preferably one where Momoa’s character lives a lot longer. That would be quite exciting.
There is also the question of whether Khal Drogo will make another appearance before the end of Game of Thrones. Daenerys had a vision of her late husband earlier on the show. Could she see him again before the end?
