Titans Season 2 Reveals First Look At Bruce Wayne And Deathstroke
The first trailer for Titans Season 2 has dropped, and the younger DC heroes are back and are looking as good as they've ever been. Of course, that's not what many may be the most excited about upon viewing this trailer as it features the first look at Iain Glen's Bruce Wayne and Deathstroke. Who would've thought 2019 would bring us two old Bruce Wayne's in live-action?
It's truly a blessed time for DC television, as those two characters are just some of the iconic characters to appear in this new trailer. Check it out, and be on the look out for new looks for some heroes we love, Superboy, Krypto, and Donna Troy (aka Wonder Girl) in addition to The Dark Knight and the fearsome Deathstroke.
In the words of Robin, "Titans are back, bitches." The crew is looking good after their inaugural season, and seems to be finding more and more people to bring into their adventures. There's fighting, a proclamation that there are no sidekicks in the Titans, and an exciting feeling that all of this will make much more sense when new episodes debut on DC Universe Friday, September 6.
In those episodes, we're set to see Bruce Wayne, who has taken notice of the young fighting team. He specifically mentioned their attention in the news to Dick Grayson which, judging from Jason Todd's quick bit in front of the camera, he doesn't approve of. Batman typically isn't one to flex and pose for the camera, so one would think Jason might catch a lecture from his mentor when he has a face-to-face meeting with him.
Unfortunately, this Titans trailer did not deliver any footage of Iain Glen suited up as Batman. Back in Season 1, we learned Jason is the current partner of Batman, so it is possible we'll see Glen don the cape and cowl before Season 2 is up. We already got the fake-out Batman appearance in Season 1, so it would be so cruel to have Glen play Bruce a whole season and never suit up, but that doesn't mean it's 100% coming.
We also saw Deathstroke who, with no disrespect meant towards The Arrow-verse's take on the villain, is wearing a truly phenomenal-looking costume. This costume nails the aesthetic of Titans, while still staying true to the trademark look and the final effect is nothing short of stunning. But you be the judge.
What's Deathstroke (who is played by a NCIS alumni) doing in town? How big of a threat is he when the Titans have heroes like Superboy in town? What does Bruce think of all of this? There's just too many questions we don't have answers to right now, but thankfully, the wait for new episodes won't be much longer.
