What Kodi Lee Wants If He Wins America's Got Talent
America's Got Talent has a lot of talented competitors in Season 14, and a few people that already show the spark needed to win one of the nation's biggest talent competitions. Among this year's front runners is 22-year-old singer and pianist Kodi Lee, who has tugged on America's heartstrings with his amazing talent and story. The blind and autistic competitor is proof positive that anyone can accomplish anything, even if it seems impossible on paper.
That includes winning America's Got Talent, which some people think Kodi Lee can accomplish. In the hypothetical situation Lee did win, his mother Tina Lee has revealed Kodi already has a plan for what he'd do with the $1 million prize money and opportunities that come with winning the NBC series.
As fans heard on America's Got Talent, music is what brings Kodi Lee joy. It's understandable he'd want to keep the thing that makes him happy going for as long as possible, and create a future for himself. Tina Lee (who spoke to Good Housekeeping) admittedly said during the episode she couldn't see way back when he was first diagnosed with optic nerve hypoplasia and autism. Now Lee's future, regardless of whether he wins this competition or not, is looking as bright as the multicolored grand pianos he'd hope to have some day.
With that being said, Kodi Lee was looking awfully strong in America's Got Talent's first Season 14 live show, and ended the show with a stunning rendition of Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water." If his first Golden Buzzer performance wasn't proof enough that he deserved a spot in the live shows, this one surely did.
Kodi Lee's chances at being one of the acts to advance to the next stage seem positive, but we're at a point in America's Got Talent where the competition is fierce, and the deciding rests solely in the hands of America. Audience voting has been a game-changer for many television competitions, and sometimes a talented contestant can be knocked out of the running due to audiences giving more votes to a contestant they felt needed the support, and not the person they assumed everyone else would vote for.
Could America's Got Talent Have A Magician Win Two Years In A Row?
America will get to see if Kodi Lee ultimately gets everything he desires with America's Got Talent prize money, as the NBC series continues on with Season 14 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET. Stick with CinemaBlend in the meantime for updates on the competition, and for the latest goings on in the world of television and movies.
