Amazon's The Boys Season 2: Karl Urban Shares 'Diabolical' Updates
I am now fully caught up on Amazon's The Boys Season 1. I hope you are too, 'cause Season 2 is already well under way and it's apparently better (and nastier) than ever. We recently got a (bloody rude) first look at Season 2, and Karl Urban (Star Trek, Lord of the Rings) is keeping fans up-to-date as filming progresses.
Karl Urban stars as Billy Butcher, and the Season 1 finale certainly gave his character quite a shock. No spoilers on that, but here's Urban's fuckin' diabolical tease for what's ahead in The Boys Season 2:
Wow, are they really already halfway through shooting The Boys Season 2? You have to love some of the comments, including this reply from Laz Alonso, who plays Mother's Milk:
Haha. I'm still wondering about that halfway note, though, since Karl Urban followed-up with this next level fucked up shit Instagram post about Season 2, Episode 3:
Nice. There are more great co-star comments on that one, including his chestnut from Jack Quaid (Hughie Campbell):
Karen Fukuhara, who plays Kimiko/The Female, replied to Jack Quaid:
Speaking of Jack Quaid, though, here he is with Karl Urban after wrapping up another week of filming for The Boys Season 2:

It does seem like the stars get along really well, sharing photos together and joking on social media through production. Here's more on that note, from Antony Starr, aka Homelander:
The Boys Season 1 was an even bigger success than Amazon expected, becoming one of the streamer's most watched series. Seth Rogen -- yes, that Seth Rogen -- is a producer on The Boys, and he recently said Season 2 is adding more characters, with a greater scope for the show.
One of the new characters for Amazon's The Boys Season 2 is Stormfront, with Aya Cash playing the character, who was described as something of of mix between Thor and Shazam. Also, Giancarlo Esposito's Mr. Edgar will be back and "becomes a really important character," in Season 2, as showrunner Eric Kripke told EW.
Amazon's The Boys And Why We Need More Superhero Shows That Aren't From Marvel Or DC
There's a lot to look forward to in The Boys Season 2, which picks up from the big events and cliffhangers of the Season 1 finale. There will be blood, and other NSFW stuff. On that note, here's one more photo from Karl Urban's Billy Butcher, from the start of Season 2:
Fuckin' diabolical, mate. The Boys Season 1 premiered its eight episodes on July 26, 2019. Amazon has yet to reveal the premiere date for Season 2, but the stars and producers working on the new episodes are clearly excited to show them to us, so I'm guessing this time next year we'll be seeing that bloody mayhem on screen.
Gina grew up in Massachusetts and California in her own version of The Parent Trap. She went to three different middle schools, four high schools, and three universities -- including half a year in Perth, Western Australia. She currently lives in a small town in Maine, the kind Stephen King regularly sets terrible things in, so this may be the last you hear from her.
