Season 3 of Jersey Shore Family Vacation featured the cast experiencing a lot of changes, and caught viewers who haven't been following the tabloids up on what has been happening in the start of each cast members' year. The whole gang was there, save The Situation of course, who was off-camera and serving his time in prison. Mike was mentioned a good deal during the premiere, but was obviously nowhere near his castmates.
With that being said there's a good chance Jersey Shore Family Vacation may feature The Situation soon, and may even show him locked up in prison. A recent preview for the episode showed Pauly D and Vinny headed to the penitentiary, with the intention of meeting up with Big Daddy Sitch.
Fun fact: this moment was well-publicized before Jersey Shore Family Vacation teased it. What the trailer didn't show is that Vinny and Pauly D are meeting up with Sitch's wife Lauren Sorrentino, and together the three will go to see Situation in his temporary living space. There are receipts, the visit did happen, and we do know Sitch will get photos with all three before the visit is up.
Photos are one thing, but with Jersey Shore Family Vacation cameras following Vinny and Pauly D to the prison, will they be let in to film to see a bit of what life is like on the inside for Mike? All word from the cast is that it has been a positive experience, so it may be a good chance to show Mike making the best of his "situation."
Then again, filming inside a prison isn't just as simple as strolling in with a camera and a release form. Surely there are hoops the Jersey Shore Family Vacation production team would have to jump through, and laws that may protect some prisoners' rights on the inside from being broadcast to the masses who watch MTV. Still, there are plenty of reality prison shows on television, so it's not crazy to think it may happen.
Well, if MTV really wanted to boost ratings for the upcoming Jersey Shore Family Vacation episode, chances are there would've been footage of The Situation on the inside shown in trailers by now. Then again, there had to be someone holding the camera for the group photo with everyone, and production has kept a low profile at other cast events in the past then revealed they were there in episode. Plus, we've been told Sitch will be in Season 3 at some point, so is this it?
Ultimately, fans will just have to wait and see how much they'll get to see of Sitch as Jersey Shore Family Vacation rolls on at MTV Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. ET. Stick with CinemaBlend in the meantime for more on what's happening in the world of fall television and movies in general.
