Game Of Thrones' Emilia Clarke Reunited With Jason Momoa And Kit Harington, And Fans Are Losing It
It’s only been a few months since the end of Game of Thrones, but fans have loved seeing the cast interacting outside of the show. Most recently, the HBO series was a major presence at the Emmy Award ceremony in September and many of the cast were in attendance. However, it was Emilia Clarke posting an unexpected reunion photo with Jason Momoa and Kit Harington that sent fans into an excited frenzy.
Emilia Clark’s been busy over the last few months since the series finale of Game of Thrones. She’s currently preparing for a press tour to promote her latest film, Last Christmas, opposite Crazy Rich Asians’ Henry Golding. But even Daenerys Targaryen herself needs a break, and for the actress's birthday, she reunited with Game of Thrones fan favorites Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) and Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and it looked like a lot of fun.
The Game of Thrones actress took to Instagram to document the reunion. “Reunions never looked this hairy,” read her caption. You can check out the photo of the trio below.
The best thing about the photo is the confirmation that Jason Momoa and Kit Harington were able to make it to Emilia Clarke’s birthday at all, as they all seem to have very busy schedules. For fans, this photo is not just a reunion picture, but also a meeting of the two great loves of Daenerys’ life (minus the dragons, of course). Although Drogo died before he and Jon Snow could share any scenes together, the two characters played pivotal roles in Dany's journey.
Fans always like to see cast members interact outside of work and love it even more when they’re genuinely friends. If the comments section is anything to go by, fans were very excited to see this particular cast reunion.
Emilia Clarke’s closeness with Jason Momoa over the years has been well-documented. The pair played lovers throughout the first season of the HBO drama, though Khal Drogo was killed off at the end of that season. Meanwhile, Daenerys went on to survive all eight seasons before dying in the series finale, much to the dismay of millions of fans. (And it was Jon Snow himself who killed her. Awkward.)
Although we won’t be seeing these three cast members on screen together anytime soon, the world of Game of Thrones is vast. HBO has already greenlit several spinoffs, including an unnamed prequel starring Naomi Watts. However, this is the only spinoff to make it to the production stage so far, and it has already begun filming.
