No Big Deal, Just Jason Momoa Ripping His Shirt Open During An SNL Sketch

Jason Momoa Shirtless SNL Sketch

Jason Momoa made a surprise appearance on this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live, and he certainly brought his signature charm and abs to the late night sketch series. In fact, in a sketch entitled “Judge Barry,” also featuring host Chance the Rapper, Jason Momoa ripped his shirt off – in the name of comedy, of course.

I know you’ve probably seen Jason Momoa shirtless before, whether that be on Game of Thrones, Aquaman, Stargate: Atlantis, or heck, even Baywatch back in the day. But I guarantee you’ve never seen him rip open his shirt for comedy like this before. But don’t take it from me, watch his portion of the sketch below.

I don’t really want to give too much away, but Kate McKinnon and “chandelier earrings” are definitely key components in regards to what makes this sketch funny. Later, Jason Momoa also stayed shirtless to flash said earrings when he introduced Chance the Rapper for his second performance during the episode.

It may come as no shock that Jason Momoa had an excellent time appearing on SNL. The avid social media poster shared he was “stoked” to be invited back, and later sent his love to the cast and crew of the long-running series.

This isn’t the first time Jason Momoa has been a part of Saturday Night Live. The See actor also hosted an episode in 2018 that featured Mumford & Sons as the musical guest. As noted prior, it's also not the first time the actor has been shirtless; at one point he was even fat-shamed for not being in Aquaman shape, so it's refreshing to see him out there and just doing his thing, regardless of the Internet chatter.

Although, Jason Momoa is key to making “Judge Barry” a memorable SNL sketch, the full five- minute bit also features a slew of other cases Judge Barry is able to solve within 10 seconds. You can take a look at the full sketch as well.

Next up, Jason Momoa can be seen in the new Apple TV+ series (more on the new streaming service here) See, which is actually a show about people unable to see and Jason Momoa trying to save the lives of a pair of twins who are not blind. So far, from what I can tell, he keeps his shirt on. See will premiere on November 1.

Meanwhile, new episode of SNL air on NBC, and Kristen Stewart is up next weekend. For more hosts, check out our full guide.
