CBS' S.W.A.T. Season 3 Is Introducing A New Family Member
CBS’ S.W.A.T. will be introducing a new family member for one of its main characters in Season 3. Fans will not have to wait long to meet this new character, either! Jim Street is getting a brother, and he will be making his debut in this Wednesday’s episode (October 30), entitled “The LBC.” Here is what you need to know!
The Oath’s Cory Hardrict will make his debut on S.W.A.T. as the newly introduced Nate. He is the foster brother of Officer Jim Street (Alex Russell). The duo will reunite thanks to a case that brings them together. Thankfully, there will be more opportunities to explore their relationship. Hardrict has joined S.W.A.T. in a recurring capacity, per Deadline, and this is a reasonable sign that S.W.A.T. will be devoting some time to Nate and Street’s relationship as Season 3 continues.
CBS’ official synopsis for Wednesday’s episode describes the foster brothers as being “estranged.” What brought about this distance? Hopefully, fans are on the verge of finding out. Check out Cory Hardrict as Nate in the promotional still below:
In related news, the case that brings Street and Nate back together is an investigation between SWAT and the Long Beach Police Department. That case involves criminals stealing a “mass arsenal” of assault rifles from the LAPD. They will have to organize the investigation without Stephanie Sigman’s Captain Jessica Cortez. Her departure from the series was recently confirmed.
Is it really the end of Jessica and Shemar Moore’s Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson? For now, that would seem to be the case. As for Hondo, he will have his family members on his mind. Yes, it looks like family will be a recurring them throughout Wednesday’s episode, as Hondo will also be involved in a family-related plotline.
Hondo’s story involves his father. Apparently, SWAT’s leader will end up at odds with his dad over the latter’s deteriorating health. What is one of the takeaways from the next episode? It is fair to say that fans can expect S.W.A.T. to continue exploring the family lives of its main characters.
Cory Hardrict joining the cast marks the busy actor’s latest television work. Hardrict also stars on Crackle’s The Oath as Cole Hammond for the crime drama. One of his co-stars on that show is former Arrow star Katrina Law. Like Hardrict, Law is also a new member of the CBS family, with her recruitment coming via Hawaii Five-0.
