Supernatural's Jared Padalecki Speaks Up After Recently Getting Arrested
While life is in a constant state of disarray for the character Sam Winchester on The CW's long-running drama Supernatural, star Jared Padalecki generally has a strong hold over the events in his own life. Things took an unfortunate turn recently when Padalecki got arrested over an altercation at a nightclub, and the Supernatural star kept mostly out of the public eye in the meantime.
That changed over the weekend, as Jared Padalecki broke his silence and gave his most faithful fans an apologetic shout out on social media. Check it out.
Understandably, Jared Padalecki didn't actually get into a topical discussion about his arrest, nor the events that led up to it. There's a good chance the actor would like to pretend that the entire situation hadn't happened in the first place.
But it did, of course, with the former Gilmore Girls star allegedly causing a ruckus at the Austin, Texas lounge called Stereotype. While there, Padalecki reportedly got into it with the bar's owner, and was said to have punched the guy in the face. It was also reported that he got into physical altercations with others on and outside the premises before being handcuffed and arrested. Padalecki was charged with two misdemeanor counts of assault causing bodily injury, as well as public intoxication.
The alcohol-fueled arrest thankfully hasn't had any kind of noteworthy impact on Supernatural's production schedule for its 15th and final season. However, the setback did hamper Jared Padalecki's plans to attend this past weekend's Supernatural fan convention in Washington D.C.
His absence certainly wasn't ignored by co-star and best buddy Jensen Ackles, who had a fun Halloween recently. Ackles took the stage during the DC con and addressed the situation amusingly enough. In his words:
The two Supernatural stars have possibly some of the most diehard fans of any TV stars, and the fact that Supernatural has for years had its own standalone fan cons speaks to how much people adore having the Winchester brothers in their lives on a weekly basis. And it's likely that once Jared Padalecki has all of his legal woes behind him, he'll dive right back into the fan event circuit alongside his co-star Jensen Ackles.

This season is a rough one for fans, with Supernatural hanging up its hat and towel after 15 long years in primetime lineups. As already evidenced by the initial episodes, the final season is going out with a variety of bangs across all the realms. Fans will have to wait and see whether or not Sam and Dean Winchester actually survive the non-heavenly ordeal, or if a much harsher fate is to come down from above.
Jared Padalecki's fans need not fret about missing the actor on the small screen for a while in the post-Supernatural wave. Once the monstrous and magical drama ends, Padalecki has already signed on to star in the TV reboot of Chuck Norris' hit western drama Walker, Texas Ranger. Hopefully Walker doesn't live too close to that nightclub, though.
Supernatural airs on The CW on Thursday nights at 9:00 p.m.
