Heading into the end of 2019, we've got some Hulu originals to keep our eyes on. As usual, this month brings not one, but two frightening chapters of Into The Dark with A Nasty Piece of Work and Midnight Kiss covering the end of year holidays in style. And if you're a Marvel TV fan, or specifically a Cloak and Dagger fan that needs some consolation after that show's cancellation, then Marvel's Runaways Season 3 will help take your mind off that show's fate. But quite possibly, it'll get you thinking about the latter show's as-of-yet undetermined fate, so tread lightly.
Meanwhile, as it's not a Hulu original just yet, now is a really fantastic time to watch (or re-watch) the antics from Season 2 of The Orville, as the show's move to the streaming platform will finally bring Season 3, at some point in late 2020. So, no pressure or anything. But if you really want some holiday spirit (and a great double feature with How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World), NBC's half-hour special How To Train Your Dragon: Homecoming will be available as well. Though that could also double as a good spark to the Oscar campaign for the film, so you're welcome Academy voters.
The world of movies has a lot of Hulu-riffic fun headed its way as well, as the first four films in the Fast & Furious franchise will be jumping into action throughout the month. And considering this may be the last time you get to see them outside of NBCUniversal's Peacock, along with a lot of other content from current streaming services, you might want to watch them in the wild while you can. Also, if you're looking for a little extra fun, and happen to either be a Dickinson fan, or need to be reminded that John Cena is a perfect fit for the Fast & Furious franchise, the Transformers prequel Bumblebee will also be available for some entertaining distraction.
Should you be looking to fill out your 2019 watch list with some indie titles that flew under the radar, you're in luck as a trio of such films can be found on Hulu in December! With Fast Color, Wild Rose, and The Day Shall Come all coming online, it's a good time to watch something new and unexpected. Plus, you never know when you're going to need something to watch throughout this busy and festive month of excitement.
Before you head out the door, please keep in mind the traditional warning that all titles above are subject to change and availability. So if something doesn't feel like it's dropping when it should, come back to this list and check for a refresher and/or updated details. Other than that, binge responsibly with your Hulu subscription and enjoy these final, fresh titles in 2019. We'll see you next month, as we get a look at 2020's first new batch of entertainment!
