As You Wait For Better Call Saul Season 5, Why Not Literally Call Saul With AMC's Numbers?
Better Call Saul is back in February 2020, and while that's just around the corner, it's understandable if fans are a little antsy at this point. After all, it's been over a year since Jimmy went full Saul in the courtroom, and faked emotion over the death of his older brother in order to get his license to practice law back. Surely what follows after has to be good, and will obviously bring the show closer to Breaking Bad than it's ever been.
Better Call Saul set the stage for an exciting Season 5, which is a shame to talk about considering there's still some waiting to do before its return. Fortunately, fans can get a fix right now by calling a number featured on the show's official Instagram page, which can be seen below.
Those who call the number will be greeted by none other than Saul Goodman, who wants to help them with their legal troubles. Saul makes mention of the fact that whoever is calling may know him as the "phone guy," which calls back to his time selling burner phones to criminals during his suspension from practicing law. Callers are encouraged to leave a message, and he'll get back to them "before they sleep."
Another neat easter egg is that this number is based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is where Better Call Saul takes place. Beyond that, there's not much in the way of revealing what all this new season will entail, other than the fact that Jimmy is up to the same gimmicks that he became so fond of on his road to becoming Saul Goodman in earnest.
This is not the first time Better Call Saul has used real phone numbers that fans can call. In fact, there's a healthy list of past phone numbers floating around on the web with numbers that are still active for fans who want to test them out. Many of the messages are simply Jimmy's voicemail, but are themed after what he was doing at that point in the show.
The latest number is a bit of fun before Better Call Saul Season 5, which should be action packed. Jimmy looks to be more Saul Goodman at this point, Kim is definitely concerned by the transformation, and Gus Fring continues to quietly build his empire in the background with Mike. Oh yeah, then there's all the stuff happening with Nacho and Lalo? It isn't hard to believe Bob Odenkirk when he said that Season 5 is one of the best the show has done yet.
