NCIS Alum Michael Weatherly Shares Hilarious Support For Pauley Perrette's New CBS Show
After fifteen seasons spent solving on-screen crimes as forensic scientist Abby Sciuto on NCIS, Pauley Perrette left the series in 2018. Cut to 2020, and Perrette will be returning to CBS for the new sitcom, Broke. You are not the only one excited for Perrette's new show. Her former NCIS co-star, Michael Weatherly, is sharing his support for the series' premiere.
Broke's premiere is still a bit into the future, with the show set to debut on April 2. There is never any harm in getting a head start on promoting an upcoming series, though! Michael Weatherly took to Twitter to support Pauley Perrette's new show, and he did so with some throwback terms. Check it out:
Michael Weatherly is so dedicated to recording Broke that he is willing to tape over Friends! Now that Friends is not on Netflix anymore, many fans wouldn't be so willing to do that, even if the recording were all broken down and mostly incomprehensible from use and age, which it clearly would be. Despite that, Weatherly is hilariously willing to part with a supposed episode to support Pauley Perrette's new show. That's what former NCIS co-stars are for!
Fans (and Michael Weatherly) have been waiting for Pauley Perrette's new show for a while. News of the sitcom came last year, but now that Broke is officially on its way, and nearing its premiere, Weatherly could not be more excited for his former co-star. Since her exit, Perrette has ruled out a return to NCIS.
Fans of the long-running series are still holding out hope that Michael Weatherly will be back for a Ziva reunion at some point. When it comes to television, fans' desire for a favorite's return is frequently founded on a good reason. NCIS fans will have to see if it actually happens at some point. In the meantime, fan-favorite Pauley Perrette is definitely heading back to CBS.
Broke is a far cry from what Pauley Perrette got up to during hers and Michael Weatherly's NCIS days. In the sitcom, Perrette plays Jackie, a single mom living in the suburbs. Jackie and her son's lives gets shaken up when her estranged sister, brother-in-law, and her brother-in-law's assistant need to move in with her due to financial issues.
CBS's track record when it comes to sitcoms speaks for itself: How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, and the list goes on. Can Pauley Perrette's Broke go the distance and make its way into the same pantheon? Michael Weatherly and others will be watching, so they will have to see!
