Whoa, Legacies Reveals 15 Epic Film Noir Photos For Season 2 Return Episode
I know the title of The Vampire Diaries series finale was already "I Was Feeling Epic" but daaaaaamn, girl. Legacies is feeling the same way about Season 2, Episode 14, "There's a Place Where the Lost Things Go," which airs March 12.
Honestly, Legacies Season 2 had better have a killer return episode after making us wait a full month. We left off February 13, 2020 with "You Can't Save Them All," the second and apparently final episode with Vampire Diaries' Kai Parker. And now we wait. But we have photos to tide us over -- 15 glorious black-and-white images teasing this film noir episode that must've been the ultimate blast to film.
The promo for the episode already had us prepared for something pretty special, but look at all of the images below. Those costumes! If I were on set, I would try to nab one to keep, but I bet those things were expensive. (Side note: This should be a Project Runway challenge someday -- make costumes for Legacies' next dance or period episode.)
Legacies Season 2, Episode 14, "There's a Place Where the Lost Things Go," airs Thursday, March 12. According to The CW's synopsis, this all starts when Emma (Karen David) tries to help the students deal with their recent trauma. She suggests they participate in a group simulation that transports them to a film noir world. Hope (Danielle Rose Russell), Josie (Kaylee Bryant), Lizzie (Jenny Boyd), MG (Quincy Fouse), and Rafael (Peyton Alex Smith) quickly learn they must confront their conflicts head-on or risk facing the game's catastrophic consequences.
For your consideration: Lizzie's hair right here. (Jenny Boyd must've had so much fun with this amazing look.)
Check out Raf and Josie:
This is such a great look for Raf, honestly every photo by The CW's Bob Mahoney looks like a magazine cover...

Here are MG and Lizzie, sharing a moment:
And here they are again, do you think they'll bond after this?
Check out these hot dames:
Josie's expression! I know they can't show smoking on a show like this, but I feel like in this film noir world Josie would be holding a very long cigarette right now:
I do think Kaylee Bryant should start in a 1940s movie after this, she looks perfect:
MG is a total stud! He looks like a private detective on the case:
Photographer Raf is on the case here too, what does he see?
My only disappointment is that they didn't do even more with Hope. Danielle Rose Russell would've slayed this era's fashions, I just wouldn't have put her in this:
Yes, more Karen David singing! My Galavant heart is soaring!
God I love this shot of the Saltzman twins:
Love the look Hope is giving MG, whatever they are talking about below:
And here are Hope and Raf -- you'll notice Landon was not part of this simulation, so how will his absence change the dynamics? Could be interesting...
This episode looks so cool, it may make up for the long wait. However, I am worried that Legacies Season 2 will be the end for another favorite character, thanks to the star's new role in The CW's Kung Fu pilot. We shall see.
Legacies returns Thursday, March 12 on The CW. Keep up with everything premiering in early 2020 with our handy TV schedule.
Gina grew up in Massachusetts and California in her own version of The Parent Trap. She went to three different middle schools, four high schools, and three universities -- including half a year in Perth, Western Australia. She currently lives in a small town in Maine, the kind Stephen King regularly sets terrible things in, so this may be the last you hear from her.
