A former 90 Day Fiancé star is being called a hero after his valiant efforts saved a man's life in the Bahamas. The married couple Loren and Alexei (Alex) Brovanik were on vacation and having a good time at the beach when an emergency broke out in open water. Alex sprang into action, and yes, someone was there to catch the wild event on camera.
As seen in the video below, Alexei made his way into the water when an allegedly intoxicated man was seen to be unresponsive in the water. Alex Brovanik responded quickly, swimming out and then bringing the man to land as others gathered, and attempted to revive him. As a warning for anyone about to view, this video's contents could be triggering, so watch at your own risk.
As Loren Brovarnik said in her Instagram caption, the situation could have been a lot worse, all things considered. In a beach full of people, Alex was the only one to jump into the water to retrieve the reportedly drunken man. Apparently, even the friends that knew the victim didn't make the effort to help him, and the post noted that they also didn't travel with him in the ambulance.
Loren Brovarnik initially said her husband saved the man's life. However, she later clarified in the comments she was unsure on what the victim's status was.
As for how Alex was feeling after the situation, he had a lot less to say about it than his wife. The reality star shared the video on his own social media as well, and just gave thanks that he was there to step in and pull the victim from the water when it seemed like no one else would.

It's another happy ending, albeit a vastly different one, for Alexei and Loren Brovarnik, who are one of the success stories of 90 Day Fiancé. The couple has been married for four years, and they will soon welcome their first child this spring. Loren met Alex when traveling to Israel where he was working as a medic, and while the two had their fair share of ups and downs on the program, they are still making it work all these years later.
It's an experience that, sadly, isn't always typical for 90 Day Fiancé stars. The show is centered around couples in love from different countries, and follows those that have recently obtained the K-1 visa that allows the foreign visitor to stay should they get married in 90 days. As one may expect, some stories feature a bit of deception, and many feature complications as the two long-distance lovers have a short amount of time to figure out the rest of their lives together.
Still, sometimes that process does work out for the better. Thankfully for that man in the water, it did for Alexei and Loren Brovarnik.
