When The Flash, Legends Of Tomorrow And Other CW Favorites Are Returning With New Episodes
The coronavirus pandemic has forced many networks to shut down production on their shows, and The CW is no exception. While some CW shows have already run out of completed episodes to air, others have some episodes already finished and just waiting to hit the airwaves. Now, The CW has announced when The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and more of its shows will be back with their remaining episodes.
Charmed and Dynasty have still been airing new episodes on Friday nights, but the rest will return in the coming weeks. First, take a look at what remains of March:
Roswell and Whose Line will be the first CW shows returning from the unexpected coronavirus hiatus, meaning The CW will have some original content other than just Charmed and Dynasty in the next few weeks. April will be the big month for a whole lot of CW returns, including all four of its current superhero series. Unfortunately, fans will be waiting until mid-to-late April for most of the series.
But hey, at least all the April returns means that April will be a positively super month on the small screen thanks to all the superheroes on The CW! Take a look:
April brings back two of The CW's shared universes, with the four series of the Arrow-verse that didn't already wrap for the 2019-2020 TV season returning to finish their seasons as well as Katy Keene and Riverdale. In the Dark's April 16 premiere will actually be the show's second season premiere, originally scheduled for May 28, according to Deadline. Whose Line Is It Anyway?'s bump puts it in Supernatural's previous time slot, since Supernatural has already run out of completed episodes, although some treats are on the way.
As for the series premiere of Stargirl, that has been bumped back a week to Tuesday, May 19 at 8 p.m. ET, airing ahead of an episode of Legends of Tomorrow. Notably, Legends of Tomorrow is the only currently ongoing Arrow-verse series that was able to complete its current season. Black Lightning and Arrow already ended their seasons.
While the changes in scheduling may not make CW fans too happy right now, they may come as a relief down the line. Other shows on other networks will presumably be out or nearly out of episodes by late April, giving The CW an advantage. After all, if all the other networks are airing reruns, why not check out some of the new material over on The CW?
