SEAL Team Will Revisit Jason's Past And More In Season 3 Finale
Spoilers lie ahead for the penultimate episode of SEAL Team Season 3 on CBS, called "In The Blind."
The third season of SEAL Team is less than a week away from coming to an end, although that doesn't mean the David Boreanaz-led drama will complete its original Season 3 order. Like many other shows that were intended to run farther into the 2019-2020 TV season, SEAL Team had to stop production short of the full episode count. So, "In The Blind" turned out to be the last episode before the Season 3 finale, which will revisit Jason's past.
Called "No Choice in Duty," the episode could serve as a suitable finale even if that wasn't always the plan. At the very least, it will have a connection to Jason's past, and the layers of what happened to him in days gone by have been key to SEAL Team from the beginning. A connection to Jason's past isn't the only thing coming in the Season 3 finale. Read on for the official CBS episode description for "No Choice in Duty" on May 6!
Although Jason himself evidently will not be forced to face a connection between the terrorist leader and his past in "No Choice in Duty," a target from his past has a part to play with the team and Davis. Jason (who hasn't had an easy season) will be escorting Mandy, who had an emotional time in "In The Blind" and could undoubtedly use the support in visiting the informant's family after his death.
A lot will be happening in the episode, and probably not all of it will be good for Bravo. Hey, at least Sonny fans can be confident that he'll be back with the team!
At this point, fans may want to just hope that SEAL Team ends on an exciting note, since Season 3 is wrapping on an episode that wasn't intended to be a grand finale. SEAL Team reportedly completed some production on Episodes 21 and 22 that were supposed to serve as the last two episodes of the season. With "No Choice in Duty" ending Season 3 and no guarantee of a Season 4, the stakes are pretty high.
That said, fans don't need to panic that the early Season 3 finale will double as the series finale. One SEAL Team star doesn't think the show is ending yet, and CBS hasn't announced cancellations or renewals for many of its dramas, not just SEAL Team. All three NCIS shows are technically still in limbo, as are both FBI and FBI: Most Wanted. Throw in S.W.A.T. and Blue Bloods, and the future hasn't been confirmed on a lot of CBS dramas. That hasn't stopped shows from already planning ahead for next season!

Hopefully the Eye Network will soon make some announcements about the future of SEAL Team and its other dramas. For now, the Season 3 finale of SEAL Team will air on Wednesday, May 6 at 10 p.m. ET. The episode airs an hour late due to Survivor going for a two-hour night of Winners at War action, so prepare to stay up an extra hour!
