Guy Fieri Just Raised A Ton Of Money For Restaurant Workers, And The Internet Is Here For It
Guy Fieri has become a common face among TV viewers, with many recognizing him for being the host of the long-running Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Conversely, he’s also become a personality that some fans love to poke fun at. Most of this stems from his hyper personality and eccentric style, which figures sunburnt skin and bleached hair. He’s also known for his kitchen antics like creating Grown Ups 2-themed chili.
Despite his on-screen persona, Fieri has also done his fair share of good throughout the country. Most recently, he’s led the charge in helping restaurant workers who’ve been furloughed or released due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And since this news has been revealed, the internet seems to have fallen in love with him.
Guy Fieri recently revealed on TMZ Live that he has raised $20 million for a relief fund that will aid restaurant workers. He explained that he was able to do so by joining forces with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. Together, they were able to form the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund.
As mentioned, Guy Fieri’s good deed hasn’t gone unnoticed. The TV host, who usually finds himself the object of memes and gifs, has been praised for his efforts, and many have taken to social media to commend him on this and past contributions:
More than a few people are aware of the criticism that Fieri is sometimes the target of, and they’re making it point to let others know that it won’t be allowed:
Many people can’t understand said criticism, especially since Fieri just appears to be a guy who enjoys good food and doing good things. One user even went as far as to say that anyone who can’t accept that may have some things to figure out on their own:
Yet some who did make fun of Fieri in the past did take the time to admit it and apologize for having done so in the first place, while still throwing in a joke or two:

Believe it or not, Guy Fieri actually hasn’t done too much to be viewed by the public in a negative light. He did once cause a scene at a club several years ago, but that incident seems to have been largely forgotten.
It’s interesting that the Food Network star has become the target of jokes for so many years, but there are those that the public just finds easy to pick at, though in Fieri’s case, the jokes usually don’t seem to be filled with malice. Nevertheless, Fieri seems to take it all stride and has only continued to enjoy his career.
Whether or not you’re a fan of Guy Fieri, it’s hard to deny that he provided some major support for a significant portion of the workforce. He’s not the first person to lend a hand during these trying times, and there’s a good chance he won’t be the last. Keep it here at CinemaBlend for more news from the world of TV and film.
