Lucifer Showrunner Ildy Modrovich Got A Devilishly Delicious Mother’s Day Gift

Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar

If there’s anything Lucifer is known for, it’s the devilish influence it has on DC’s multiverse of TV shows. However, it would seem the show’s effects have spilled into the real world as well. Showrunner Ildy Modrovich knows this all too well, as she received an interesting (but welcome) surprise on Mother’s Day.

Mothers around the world surely received plenty of extravagant and wonderful gifts on Mother’s Day, but Ildy Modrovich got a smaller one that really made her day. She took to social media yesterday to reveal that she had reached a new milestone with the amount of Twitter followers she has. It would seem that she’s landed on a number that’s very appropriate for her and her work:

I’m not sure if that’s incredibly spooky or extremely funny given her position on Lucifer’s staff. If we’re being honest, she was bound to hit the number at some point, but the fact that she landed it on Mother’s Day appeared to be particularly special for her.

Modrovich has been more than passionate while steering the ship at Lucifer with co-showrunner Joe Henderson. Both were disappointed when the show was prematurely canceled by Fox but were thrilled when the series found new life on Netflix.

Despite hailing from the place down below, Lucifer Morningstar is, in a way, stuck in purgatory at the moment. The show, which was shooting its fifth season, was forced to halt production due to the current global crisis. As of right now, it’s unclear as to when things will pick back up.

Fans are undoubtedly excited to see what lies ahead for Lucifer and his allies in the fifth season. It’s already been confirmed that God will make his highly anticipated debut on the show and will be played by Dennis Haysbert. The showrunners have also confirmed that there could be major developments for Lucifer and Chloe Decker’s relationship. And following the titular character’s shocking cameo in the Arrowverse’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, one has to wonder if he’ll link up with any more of the Earth-Prime heroes moving forward.

Ahead of the supposed final season’s premiere, it was reported that Netflix is reportedly planning a sixth season. Since then, most of the cast and crew, including Joe Henderson and and Ildy Modrovich, signed on to return in the event that Netflix gives it the green-light. There have, however, been a few pitfalls along the way, as negotiations between the streamer and star Tom Ellis have come to a halt.

Lucifer’s future may be in doubt right now, but maybe Ildy Modrovich’s recent gift is an omen (sorry) that means that things could be turning around. We’ll have to wait and see but, at the very least, fans still have Season 5 to look forward to. The first four seasons of Lucifer are now available to stream on Netflix.
