Watch Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles Fail At Opening A Beer In Season 15 Behind-The-Scenes Look

supernatural season 15 jensen ackles blooper

Supernatural’s bloopers are legendary at this point. After being on the air for 15 seasons, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins are still good at making viewers laugh with some of their antics. A look from behind-the-scenes of Season 15 sees Ackles fail at properly opening a beer during a scene and it’s pretty great. You can watch the Season 15 outtake below!

Action is called and Jensen Ackles’ Dean walks into a room, opens the fridge, grabs a beer and opens it. Sounds like a simple enough activity, except that the beer in Ackles’ hand makes for a questionable scene partner. In the new behind-the-scenes clip released to YouTube, the beer’s foam flows over the side of the bottle, spilling onto the actor’s hand and the floor. He pauses, waits, and, complete with his “Blue Steel” look, blows at the foam before he finally drinks it. What else could go wrong? Well, everything else starts shaking, too.

To be sure, the behind-the-scenes moment could’ve turned out to be very boring, but Jensen Ackles made the most of it. Who knew that opening and subsequently drinking a beer could be that complicated? Either way, it’s the little things that often make for the happiest moments and the blooper clip is just another nugget for Supernatural fans to enjoy since the show’s final season ended prematurely.

Last month, Supernatural showrunner Andrew Dabb released a fun two-minute clip from the Season 15 blooper reel that included Jensen Ackles struggling once again. This time, however, the actor found himself tripping over some stairs. Hilariously, co-star Jared Padalecki also struggled with the same set of stairs in the very same scene.

The YouTube account has diligently released a few more of these behind-the-scenes moments over the last several weeks. The clips are really short, but they’re certainly tiding fans over until Supernatural can resume production and finish out its final season as intended.

Post-production on Supernatural Season 15 was unable to be completed on five episodes that had already been filmed. The series is VFX-heavy and the post-production company halted work early. Although it’s unfortunate that the series won’t return for a while, Jensen Ackles sees the “silver lining” in all this and believes the break will give the cast and crew time to reenergize in time to film the final two episodes of Season 15.

On that note, it was announced that the final seven episodes of Supernatural’s Season 15 would be released at some point this fall. However, there’s currently no confirmation regarding when production will start back up or of the scheduled release date for the remaining episodes.
